Is there any way to send money from the UK to my friend in Iran? My friend is currently in Iran and has no money left. Is any company/ bank in UK or online?
This is an urgent case. I am afraid my friend will go hungry and will not have a roof over his head.
Any advice is appreciated.

Due to the sanctions, no money transaction is available between Iran and UK. But you can refer to the exchange shops in the UK and ask for a money transfer to Iran. The only problem is that some exchange shops do not transfer money smaller than a certain amount.
You can also apply for a Mah Card for him through: www.mahcard.com.
It costs only €19. Their agent will meet him at his hotel and give him the card. At the end of his trip, their agent will meet him again and exchange the balance into GB£ and pay him in cash.
