The magnificent ruins of Persepolis which lie at the foot of Mehr Mountain was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire founded by Darius I in 518 B.C.
Necropolis is the magnificent burial place of Achaemenid kings, seven bas-reliefs dating back to Elamite and Sassanid period.
Pasargadae, the tomb of Cyrus the Great, the originator of Achaemanian Emperor (550 B.C.). The wonderful architecture of his tomb, the huge fertile land over there beside the brave personality of Cyrus the Great inspires the visitors.
1. Leave Shiraz at 8:30 am and drive 70 km to Persepolis and Necropolis.
2. Visit the sites for 3 hours.
3. After lunch drive to Pasargadae.
4. Visit Naqsh-e Rajab and Estakhr city en route.
5. Return to Shiraz.
