Alamut was a mountain fortress in the central Alborz Mountains under the leadership of Hasan Sabbah for the Shi’a Ismailis known to the West as “the Assassins”.
Qazvin was an ancient capital in the Persian Empire and nowadays is known as calligraphy capital of Iran. Qazvin is home to the first modern hotel, the first modern School, the first street and the first Municipality built in Iran.
