Where can I exchange dollars in Iran? Should I do it at the IKA airport as soon as arriving or wait to find an exchange shop in Tehran?
Answer:
You can easily find exchange offices everywhere. The first one is available at the airport as soon as you enter the country. Change a small amount there since the rate is not reasonable but only to have some IRR with you.
In all the big cities, exchange shops are located in the city centers. The rate is almost the same in all the offices but they will give you a better rate for a larger amount of money. Try not to be too early at the exchange because the official rate is announced at about 11 a.m. every day.
It is advisable not to exchange with brokers although they might give you better rates.
