Question:
We are going to Iran next month and I am now busy with packing suitable dresses for this country. I have long-sleeved shirts with me, socks (dark color) and shoes and some headscarves to cover the head. I like to know if I can wear blue jeans there or not. Do I need to wear a chador or cloak covering the blouse or jumper over jeans?
Answer:
Hi,
Wearing jeans is something normal for women in Iran. It can be considered a routine part of dressing. It is better to know that the hijab by the Iranian female is not that strict before being shocked in Iran. Take it easier, wearing a chador is not even done by the Iranians, you don’t even need to wear dark clothes.
