I am going to be in Iran from July to Sep which is the hottest time of the year. I would like to know what is the dress code for guys in Iran. Are shorts and flip-flops allowed?
Answer:
The dress code for men is not something complicated. Avoid wearing shorts and sleeveless shirts and all is done. Long trousers, short-sleeved T-shirts, flip flops, and sandals are all acceptable.

Men wearing shorts is not common in Iran. That is a bit normal to wear shorts at the beach such as on Kish Island or in the Caspian Sea area.
