Question:
We are an Australian couple intending to travel to Iran soon for an 8 days visit. We are having problems with the Iranian consulate in Australia to get our tourist visa. They say they didn’t reject our visa applications but they won’t issue those without someone we know in Iran getting authorization from the foreign ministry in Iran. The problem is that we don’t have enough time as we are leaving our country in 3 days. Any advice will be appreciated.
Answer:
You don’t need to get in touch with the Iranian embassy to get your visa. You can either fly to Iran and get a 15-day on-arrival visa at the airport or if you like to have your visa beforehand, let us apply for you through the ministry of foreign affairs then you can collect it either from the consulate or at the airport.
